IFS 10 Upgrade Plan and 5-Year Technology Roadmap for Katun Corporation

Katun has been a long-term IFS customer and currently uses applications version 8.0 for their global business. Along with the core distribution and finance modules Katun also uses the IFS CRM application and several strategic bolt-on applications for transportation management, e-commerce, and analytical reporting. Because of this tightly integrated applications architecture it was necessary to plan not just for an IFS upgrade but to take into account the short and long-term plans for the full applications portfolio.

Approach

Flexpro worked with the Katun IT and business teams to clearly understand the short-term and longer-term drivers and requirements for their applications. Flexpro also coordinated a rapid discovery process to help the Katun team learn about the new features and functionality offered in IFS 10 as well as how the IFS applications strategy and direction might affect Katun’s overall applications portfolio. This discovery process was well documented with supporting content distributed to the Katun team and culminated in a number of deliverables that outlined the business case, investment and resource requirements, and proposed timeline.

Outcomes

Flexpro delivered a well-researched roadmap and IFS 10 upgrade plan to the Katun IT Director. This plan included significant detail to support the priorities and proposed investments as well as management-level summary and presentation. Flexpro also participated in the presentation of the plan to Katun’s leadership team.
